[Important Information for Employees] Update: Campus Heating System #3

Dear Campus Community,

I’m writing to provide you with the latest updates on the high-temperature
hot water (HTHW) system issue and the steps being taken to address it.
Below is a summary of what has been done and what is in progress:

   -

   Yokum Hall Temperatures: Current temperatures in Yokum Hall are in the
   60s.
   -

   Yokum Event Relocations:
   -

      Athletic events scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday have been moved to
      alternative locations.
      -

      International orientation originally planned for Thursday and Friday
      has also been relocated.
      -

   Parking Lot 9 Clearance: Arrangements are being made to clear and close
   Lot 9 to support the ongoing work, with assistance from University Police.

The NYS Office of General Services (OGS) was onsite this morning at 11am.
The contract has been awarded to Wilkins Mechanical. Wilkins Mechanical was
on campus today starting at 2pm.  The first priority for Wilkins will be to
get temporary heat to the building to prevent freezing pipes.  Repairs will
begin once temporary heat has been established.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work to resolve this
issue and minimize its impact on campus activities.
