[Important Information for Employees] Update: Campus Heating System #5

Dear Campus Community,

I’m writing to provide you with the latest updates on the high-temperature
hot water (HTHW) system issue for Yokum Hall and the steps being taken to
address it.

The temporary heating boiler was delivered on Monday, February 3rd and is
located outside of Yokum in Parking Lot 9.  Wilkins Mechanical is working
on all of the necessary steps to connect the boiler to Yokum by February
14th.  An electrical shutdown will be necessary on February 11th from 6AM
to 8AM to connect the boiler.  This shutdown will affect Yokum, Kehoe and
Myers and a building notification has already been sent to building
occupants.

Due to the ongoing issue with the HTHW system, a section of the podium
outside of Kehoe and Yokum is currently without heat. In response, our
dedicated grounds crew is actively clearing this area and distributing sand
to maintain safety. Please exercise caution when crossing this portion of
the podium.

Your patience and understanding during this time are greatly appreciated as
we work to resolve the issue as effectively as possible.
