Effective October 1, all employee vehicles must have a valid 2024-25
faculty/staff tag displayed on the rear view mirror as proof of
registration, and be legally parked in compliance with the campus Traffic
and Parking Regulations
<https://www.plattsburgh.edu/about/directions/parking/regulations-fees.html>
.
Any employee that has not pre-registered a vehicle and paid the
applicable parking fees is encouraged to complete the process today so that
a hang tag can be claimed and displayed prior to October 1st. The
registration steps are available at www.plattsburgh.edu/parking.
Anyone that does not have a hang tag, or was not notified since Monday to
claim their tag from UPD, shall verify their tag assignment in
MyPlattsburgh (EMPLOYEES tab to AUTOMOBILE REGISTRATION link) in the upper
left of the page.
- If a tag # appears, ensure that you display it on the vehicle rear
view mirror. (Note: All unclaimed tags were interoffice mailed to the
employee campus addresses on Friday, September 13th. Anyone that
pre-registered for parking after this date must claim their assigned tag
from UPD.)
- If you see no tag listed on the automobile registration page, ensure
that the applicable parking fees were paid based on your campus
affiliation, AND that you "added" a new vehicle or "confirmed" an existing
vehicle. These two steps activate the report to assign a tag. After
completing the steps, allow 24 hours for processing. If you still have
issues, contact parking at plattsburgh.edu for assistance.
