[Important Information for Employees] Update 2: Dormitory Heating and Hot Water

Dear Campus Community,

A high-temperature hot water (HTHW) pipe has broken at the corner of Rugar
Street and Sanborn Avenue. As a result, all dorms are currently without
heat and hot water. The Central Heating Plant team is in the process of
switching to electric hot water. This process will take a few hours. Once
complete, all residence halls except Macdonough Hall will have hot water
restored. The Office of General Services (OGS) has been sent the necessary
emergency paperwork, and we are actively working to get a vendor on-site to
address the issue.

We understand that this presents difficulties for all who are currently in
residence halls, and we are working as quickly as possible to resolve the
situation. We will continue to provide updates as more information becomes
available.
