[Important Information for Employees] 2024 SEFA Campus Kick-Off – Supporting Charitable Causes

Dear Faculty and Staff,
The 2024 State Employees Federated Appeal (SEFA) Campaign at SUNY
Plattsburgh will begin on Thursday, October 3, and run through Friday,
December 13, 2024. SEFA is a charitable initiative that allows New York
State employees to contribute to various local, national, and international
nonprofit organizations. Through voluntary payroll deductions or one-time
donations, participants can help fund important causes that address issues
like poverty, health, education, and environmental sustainability.
2024 Campaign Goals:

Donation Goal: $35,000

Donor Goal: 275 donors
This year’s campaign is chaired by Cherice Granger, with support from
committee members Christa Covel-Reyell, Kristie Stanton, Jennifer Bleaux,
and Karin Killough. These individuals are working to ensure the success of
the campaign by encouraging participation and highlighting the impact
SEFA-supported organizations have on communities in need.
All contributors will be entered into the SEFA Raffle. The raffle will take
place on Monday, December 16, and winners will be notified by Wednesday,
December 18.

through donation or spreading awareness, helps further the mission of SEFA
in addressing critical needs across various communities.
