[Important Information for Employees] National Day of Racial Healing

All members of our campus community are encouraged to join the Office of
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and the Truth, Racial Healing, and
Transformation Center (TRHT) for the 2024 National Day of Racial Healing on
Tuesday, January 16, 2024.

Release time for this event has been granted. Please coordinate attendance
with your supervisor.

The theme this year is, “The Heart of Racial Equity Begins with Courage.”
The schedule will be as follows:
 · 9:30am: We will kick the day off in the Warren Ballrooms for
refreshments.
 · 10am: Opening Keynote address
 - 11am: Morning concurrent sessions.
 · 12p-1p: We will have a free networking lunch with roundtable
discussions. Each table will have a different topic chosen by the
moderator.
 · 1p-3p: Healing circles and afternoon concurrent sessions.

Note, that we will have in-person sessions, but we will also have some
virtual sessions. We will have book raffles this day and facilitator
training for the TRHT Healing Circles.
