[Important Information for Employees] Campus Climate Survey

Dear Cardinals,

We want to share some exciting news with you!

On Monday, February 19, 2024, you will receive an email notification from
ViewFinder to participate in a Campus Climate Survey. This is an
opportunity for employees and students to share your opinion and
perspective about campus practices at SUNY Plattsburgh. The survey will
open on Monday, February 19, 2024 and will close on Friday, March 8, 2024.

What is the Survey and How Can I Learn More?

This Campus Climate Survey is being launched by the Office of Diversity,
Equity and Inclusion in collaboration with the President’s Inclusive
Excellence Council. Tabling and Other Pop-Up events will be occurring
throughout the 3-week period of the survey launch to answer questions and
to encourage your participation. Please check the Student and Employee
Digests for ongoing updates. If at any point you have questions or concerns
about the survey, you may contact the Office of Diversity, Equity and
Inclusion at diversity at plattsburgh.edu  <diversity at plattsburgh.edu>or
518-564-5410. You may also contact any the following members of our
President’s Inclusive Excellence Council subcommittee working on the campus
climate survey, including:

How Will Results Be Shared?

Survey results will be collected by SUNY System Administration and
anonymous data that pertains to our campus will be shared with SUNY
Plattsburgh. Once the information is collected, the President’s Inclusive
Excellence Council will review and analyze the information and host
listening sessions so we can share this information with our campus. Our
overall goal is to enhance efforts that are already going well, and to
develop strategies for improvements in areas that are more challenging. Our
goal is to ensure that we are always working to create the most inclusive
and equitable campus possible.

Is Participation in the Survey Required?

Please know that your participation in this survey is voluntary, but we
strongly encourage you to participate. Responses will be collected
confidentially. As such, ViewFinder will send the links to the online
surveys directly to your SUNY Plattsburgh email account. When you receive
the survey, please do not delete it or mark it as spam. It is important
that you not share your unique link to the survey with anyone. Once you
access the link, you will not need a password. If you start working on a
survey and have to pause, the same survey will remain active and you can
pick-up where you left off, as long as you use the same device to access
your incomplete survey.

What Additional Resources Are Available for Accessing the Survey?

English and Spanish versions of the surveys are available. Surveys can be
completed on your computer, cell phone, or most other electronic devices.
The surveys should take approximately 20 minutes or less to complete. For
accessibility questions related to the survey, please reach out to the
Accessibility Resources Office at aro at plattsburgh.edu or call 518-564-2888.

   Week of February 19, 2024 - Tabling in the ACC to answer questions or
   assist you with questions you may have. Feel free to also stop by the
   H.U.B. to speak with our staff.

   Monday, February 19, 2024 - FREE Soup and Pastry in the H.U.B. in ACC
   from 11 am to 1 pm for anyone who takes a screenshot of their completed
   survey on day-one of our survey launch!! Your screenshot is your ticket!
   Soups choices are Butternut Squash and Broccoli and Cheddar with fresh
   baked cookies.

   Wednesday, February 21, 2024 from 11 am to 1 pm - FREE Soup and Pastry
   in the H.U.B. in ACC from 11 am to 1 pm for anyone who takes a screenshot
   of their completed survey on day-three of our survey launch!! Your
   screenshot is your ticket! Soups choices are Mushroom Barley and Orzo
   Chicken and Rice with fresh fudge brownies.

   February 19, 2024 to March 8, 2024 - Take a selfie or group photo and
   tag us on Instagram @platts_dei to let us know you took the survey! Stay
   tuned for more pop-ups and events!
