There is a City-wide parking ban in effect tonight!

When major snowstorms are approaching, the City activates flashing amber
lights and sends notifications prohibiting parking on city streets and
city-owned parking lots for snow plowing.  Vehicles found in violation are
towed.

Note:  This DOES NOT affect parking on campus.  If you need on-campus
parking, please take a look at Student Parking Assistance below.


Here is the message from the City today:
City Wide Parking Ban in Effect!

A City Parking Ban is in effect as of 12:01am on Thursday, April 4th due to
a snow emergency.

🚨When the lights are on, the cars are gone!🚨

   - Parking *IS NOT* permitted on ANY City Street.
   - Parking *IS* allowed in City managed parking lots labeled P1, P2, P3,
   P4, P5, P6, and P7. Parking Enforcement is waived in the aforementioned
   lots during the snow emergency.

*Student Parking Assistance*

Off-campus students wishing to park on campus during this parking ban may
use the following lots between 5:00 p.m. tonight through 8:00 a.m. tomorrow:

   - Lot 4A-REDCAY (behind Redcay Hall, accessible from Brinkerhoff Street)
   - Lot 21-SIBLEY (behind Sibley Hall, accessible from Angell Drive)
   - Lot 27-BANKS (behind Banks Hall, accessible from Sanborn and Park
   Avenues)

If you have parking ban questions or if your vehicle is towed, you may
contact the City of Plattsburgh Police Department at (518) 563-3411 for
more information.

Campus parking inquiries may be directed to University Police at (518)
564-2022.
