I am writing to advise you of an incident over the weekend in a residence
hall that University Police are investigating.
University Police responded to Moffitt Hall on Saturday, October 15, at
9:52 p.m. regarding reported larceny of property from a room where
allegedly cannabis was being sold. Responding officers determined a
student had menaced another student following the larceny. That student
suspect has been placed on interim suspension and was removed from campus
while the investigation continues.
SUNY Plattsburgh University Police continue to prioritize campus health and
safety. We take all reports of violence and other criminal acts seriously.
Please reach out to UP at 518-564-2022 if you see or hear any language or
behaviors that are concerning or that in any way violate campus conduct, as
outlined in our student or group conduct manuals
<https://www.plattsburgh.edu/about/offices-divisions/student-affairs/student-conduct/manual.html>.
Call 911 if the situation is an emergency requiring immediate attention and
response.
Thank you,
Chief Rascoe.
