Dear Campus Community.

I wanted to take a moment to recognize the profound impact that the recent
shooting tragedy in a Texas elementary school has had on our employees.
Whether we are parents or grandparents, have younger siblings, or are in
(or studying to be in) a teaching profession, the heartbreak and sadness
can be felt by us all.



If you are feeling an emotional toll from the recent acts of unspeakable
violence, you are NOT alone. As we all grieve and grapple with violence and
loss, in whatever form it takes in our lives, please remember that
nurturing our relationships, cultivating new ones, and tapping into
available resources can help.



Making sense of senseless acts of violence is difficult enough for us, but
trying to explain things to our children can be particularly challenging.
If you are needing support in talking to your children about the recent
mass shootings, here is a very good resource from the National Child
