[Important Information for Employees] The Death of Cindy Clifford

Dear Members of Our Campus Community,

We are saddened to learn of the death of Cindy Clifford, retired clinic
director of the Speech and Hearing Center, who died Friday, March 26, 2021.
She was 63.

Ms. Clifford was a 1980 speech and hearing handicapped education graduate,
earning her master’s in the same in 1985. She became a speech and language
pathologist at the Board of Cooperative Educational Services in Clinton
County from 1981 through 1986. She joined the faculty as a lecturer in the
School of Education, Health and Human Services in 1988. In 1993, she became
director of speech and hearing. Six years later, she became clinic director
in communication disorders and sciences. In 1999, she became clinic
director of the speech and hearing center, retiring in December 2013.

In her early years, she worked directly with children in the public schools
as well as in the Speech and Hearing Center.

Calling hours will be held 4-5:30 Friday, April 2 at the Brown Funeral
Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh. A funeral service will follow in the
funeral home chapel. A private graveside service will be held at a later
