[Important Information for Employees] Time Off for COVID-19 Vaccinations

Governor Cuomo has signed legislation that allows state employees to
receive the COVID-19 vaccination without charge to their leave accruals.
Under this new law, employees will be granted up to four hours of excused
leave per injection.  This legislation becomes effective March 12, 2021 and
does not impact leave charged previously for this reason.  Amendments are
being made to the SUNY Time and Attendance system to add the COVID-19
Vaccination option under non-chargeable time.

As with any use of non-chargeable leave type, appropriate documentation
will be required.  You can simply show your vaccine card to your
supervisor, who should add a comment in the time and attendance system that
they have verified the appropriate use of this leave type.
