[Important Information for Employees] The Death of Robert DeCamp

Dear Members of the Campus Community,

We were saddened to learn of the passing of a retired member of our
community, Robert DeCamp, who succumbed to complications due to COVID Jan.
17, 2021, in Arizona. He was 70.

Mr. DeCamp earned his business degree from SUNY Plattsburgh in 1997 and his
master’s in student administration and leadership in 1999. Prior to earning
his degrees, he earned a U.S. customs brokerage license in 1976 and worked
for F.W. Myers, Livingston International and A.N. Deringer in the North
Country. AT Deringer, he rose to vice president of the Northeast region and
later vice president of regulatory affairs.

He joined the faculty of the School of Business and Economics in 2012 as an
adjunct lecturer, teaching spring semesters in supply chain management. The
husband of Cheryl DeCamp, retired Research Foundation human resource
coordinator at SUNY Plattsburgh, Mr. DeCamp was a member of the SBE
advisory council. He retired from adjunct teaching May 2018.

A celebration of Mr. DeCamp’s life will be held at a later date this
