Campus Community,

The following advisory on parking from the City of Plattsburgh is being
forwarded to you as a courtesy from University Police.

The city sometimes bans parking on streets and city-owned lots for removal
of snow. These can be city-wide or "modified" parking bans. Modified
bans designate specific areas where parking will be prohibited.

In both situations, the city activates flashing amber lights to signify
a city snow emergency parking ban is upcoming or in effect. They also send
alerts and notifications across various platforms, including news outlets,
social media, the city's web page, and email.

For the most accurate information about the City of Plattsburgh's alerts
and notifications, please visit the city webpage at
http://www.cityofplattsburgh-ny.gov.
If you have parking ban questions or your vehicle is towed, you may contact
the City of Plattsburgh Police Department at (518) 563-3411 for more
information. Campus parking inquiries may be directed to University Police
at (518) 564-2022.

Students parking in on-campus lots will not be affected by the
City's parking ban. For off-campus students wishing to park on-campus
during this parking ban, the Chief of University Police has designated the
following lots for their use between 5:00 p.m. tonight through 8:00 a.m.
tomorrow:

· Lot 4A-REDCAY (behind Redcay Hall, accessible from Brinkerhoff Street)

· Lot 21-SIBLEY (behind Sibley Hall, accessible from Angell Drive)

· Lot 27-BANKS (behind Banks Hall, accessible from Sanborn
and Park Avenues)

The following is today's alert from the City of Plattsburgh:

City Wide Parking Ban in Effect!

There is a City Wide Parking Ban in effect as of midnight, 12:00AM on
Tuesday, February 2, 2021. This City Wide Parking Ban includes the South
End of the Durkee Street Parking Lot, the Arnie Pavone Memorial Parking
Lot, the Broad Street Parking Lot, and Upper & Lower Court Street Parking
Lots. Vehicles that are in violation of this Parking Ban will be ticketed
and towed at the owners expense. This City Wide Parking Ban will remain in
