[Important Information for Employees] Campus Community, and Safety Advisory Committee

Dear Campus Community,

I am pleased to share that the Campus, Community, and Safety Advisory
Committee, assembled in November, held its first meeting today. The group
was created to provide vision and guidance related to the delivery of
University Police services and other safety-related matters for our college.

I want to thank each of the participants (listed below) for their
willingness to lend their perspectives as members of the campus community,
as police officers serving others, and as students earning their degrees.
Each is an important contributor to the conversations and resulting shared
advice they will provide.

In charging the committee today, I expressed confidence in their efforts to
help campus leadership think about and identify means of further
collaboration and enhanced partnership between our campus community, our
University Police and others as they evaluate policies, plans and
procedures, and make recommendations.
