SENT ON BEHALF OF HUMAN RESOURCE SERVICES
Colleagues,
Next week, mandatory COVID-19 testing for Fall 2021 begins. All employees
must participate in COVID-19 testing, once weekly, unless an exemption is
on file (see Testing Opt Out below). We would like to bring your attention
to the following information regarding who must attend testing and testing
operations for this semester.
-
Employee Responsibilities. All employees and affiliates (Research
Foundation, CAS, Chartwells, etc.) should abide by the Social Distancing
and Face Covering polic

while on campus and must affirm that they have read the Revised Guidance
for State Agencies and Authorities During the COVID-19 Public Health
Emergency Attestation

guidance in its entirety, understand its provisions, and adhere to its
requirements. State employees must return attestations to Human Resource
Services (via hrs at plattsburgh.edu or to 912 Kehoe) upon return to
campus. Affiliates should return their attestation forms to their
appropriate Human Resource office. While the Revised Guidance for State
Agencies indicates that vaccinated individuals do not have to wear a mask,
our campus policy requiring masks regardless of vaccination status takes
precedence over this guidance.
-
Who Must Attend Testing. If you are reporting to work on campus to
complete some or all of your work obligation and are an employee
represented by CSEA, UUP, PBA and PEF you are subject to testing under
specific Memorandums of Understanding (MOU) reached between SUNY and each
bargaining unit. Management Confidential employees are also deemed subject
to testing. As such, attendance is considered mandatory. The college
reserves the right to conduct periodic surveillance testing of all
employees regardless of vaccination status.
-
Testing Opt Out. Fully vaccinated employees (including auxiliary workers
and vendors with a regular on-campus presence), who wish to disclose that
they are fully vaccinated, will no longer have to participate in the
campus’ weekly COVID-19 surveillance pool testing. In order to be exempt
from testing, vaccinated employees will need to provide proof of
vaccination via the Vaccination Attestation Form

Effective Aug. 24, vaccinated employees who wish to participate in weekly
testing (even if they have opted out of testing) may do so.
-
