Campus Community,
We are writing to update you on the campus' progress this semester on
re-accreditation by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. The
campus was last reaccredited in June 2012 and we are now following the
agency's prescribed path ahead of a planned site visit in spring 2022.
This semester, the college finalized the design of our self-study, which
outlines the process we will follow and the outcomes we plan to achieve.
This was accepted by Middle States and *can be viewed online here*

Many of you also attended open online forums with leaders of Middle States
in September.
The bulk of the effort over the fall has been *done by seven working groups*
<https://www.plattsburgh.edu/academics/middle-states-reaccreditation.html> who
have been gathering data and metrics useful in this assessment. This
includes searching for evidence, citing examples and beginning analysis. We
are grateful for the hard work of each participant who has assisted. This
will be finalized as we move toward next semester.
In the spring, we will draft the self-study with the steering committee,
host campus gatherings and set the dates for the site visit by Middle
States reviewers. Look for those details after the first of the year.
We are thankful for all who have contributed to this important
project, through this challenging time and while balancing so many
other tasks. It is truly a team effort.
