[Academic-Affairs] Call for Nominations: SUNY Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Social Justice Fellows Program

Colleagues

Since the Board of Trustee’s approval of the revised General Education
framework, I have talked with many constituency groups about their work
related to implementation.  One consistent thread I heard was that the
faculty would like support for content development in shaping the new
Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Social Justice (DEISJ) Knowledge and
Skills area.  To this end, I asked Academic Affairs to work with UFS
President Keith Landa and FCCC President Christy Woods to develop a plan
that could directly help faculty.  I am pleased to announce the kick-off of
the *SUNY Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Social Justice Fellows Program*.
Through the appointment of *Diversity Fellows*, this capacity-building
initiative is aimed to develop faculty-to-faculty discussions and
mentorship in DEISJ content development and deployment.  The program aims
to enhance the development of subject area expertise to offer DEISJ general
education courses.  Faculty who are interested in serving as DEISJ Fellows
may self-nominate (information found here

Once nominations are received and reviewed, Academic Affairs will
coordinate with academic administration of each finalist to confirm their
