Dear Colleagues,

I hope this note finds you well and that you are enjoying some good
recovery time over this winter break.

If you have not already seen the specifics that are posted on our website
and regularly communicated to our students regarding the spring semester's
start-up, here is the link with all relevant information:
https://www.plattsburgh.edu/covid-19/index.html

Our COVID policy group has been meeting regularly to make sure we are
planning in full compliance with SUNY's guidelines, CDC recommendations,
and our Clinton County Board of Health.

As of today, we have no plans to move the first week (or weeks) of the
semester to a remote modality. The data does not suggest that we would
benefit from such a decision. The 13 comprehensive provosts regularly
communicate on shared topics of concern, and as of yesterday, all of these
campuses are planning to start fully f2f for all courses planned for this
modality. Some of the campuses begin classes next week.

I have been in communication with Ray Carman, and I am aware that any
change in plans requires additional work for faculty and is best made with
plenty of notice. As of today, no change in plans.

Please stay extra warm this weekend!

Anne
