Colleagues,

Members of our campus have been working steadily to track students’
participation in required COVID testing this semester. We do not have the
level of participation that we need at this point. As a result, there are
400 students who will have their technology access locked on Monday at
noon-time because they have not participated in the required testing.

Last semester, we found that students in this situation sometimes reached
out to their faculty for information/support. Faculty should know that all
of the information students need about how to become compliant is available
to them through multiple communications. They simply need to check their
emails.

Additionally, a message is going to go out to *advisors* of the students
whose technology is scheduled to be locked, in hopes that our advisors can
help us resolve this problem by further reinforcing for their advisees, our
students, that participation in required testing is *required,* and not
optional.

Please feel free to send any questions that I may be able to help with to
provost-office at plattsburgh.edu

Thank you.

Anne
