<div dir="ltr"><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif"><span style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif">Hello Everyone,</span></div><div class="gmail_quote gmail_quote_container"><div dir="ltr"><div>I'm excited to share our new process for collecting valuable feedback from students. In a collaborative effort by a group of faculty, personnel from our technical team, and Academic Affairs, we are ready to roll out our newly minted COS, administered through Watermark. A group of early adopters helped us work out some bugs by testing this system in the spring, and now we are ready to use this in all summer courses. </div><div>The COS will be available to students 14 days prior to the end of the course - the survey 'start date'. Instructors may adjust the start date if they prefer to have students complete it in class for example. Instructors will receive an email 7 days prior to the course's survey start date with an invitation to manage their COS, which includes modifying which courses will get the COS, selecting items that will be asked in addition to the standard COS, and revising the start date. </div><div>We apologize to faculty teaching this summer who already received a message inviting them to manage their COS. We had a date setting wrong, and have since fixed it. You will not be able to manage your settings yet if you are teaching in session B or C.</div><div>Students will receive an email invitation 7 days prior to the course end date with a link to the COS and will see a pop-up in Brightspace 14 days prior to the end of the course. </div><div>Results will be available to faculty the day after grades are due for the semester (at this time, this will be the end of the semester for everyone, even if the course ended early).</div><div>More information is available in the <a href="https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1VOhXupbT3ByNYk-YXmEISCX-Lsp191W2zEjKd3eO2hg/edit?usp=sharing" target="_blank">Managing Course Opinion Surveys in Watermark User Guide</a>.
