State and Jackson State University shootings</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:left;margin:0in 0in 0.0001pt;font-size:12pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">In the 1960’s, America experienced some of its greatest
periods of tension and upheaval.  African Americans began demanding
equality during the Civil Rights Movement. 
Inspired by their efforts, women took strides to gain their own
equality.  In the midst of all this
tension, America plunged into war abroad.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:left;margin:0in 0in 0.0001pt;font-size:12pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Citizens quickly began to protest and in May of 1970
these protests were silenced with violence.  Students at Kent State were
protesting the war efforts of the United States in Cambodia when they were
violently put to rest.  Just a few days
later at Jackson State, students were rallying to protest racism.  In both
events students were silenced by weaponry. </p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:left;margin:0in 0in 0.0001pt;font-size:12pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">The efforts of these students will forever be
remembered. </p><p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:left;margin:0in 0in 0.0001pt;font-size:12pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Please join the Student Association <span style="font-size:12pt">in honoring those
