<div dir="ltr"><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:verdana,sans-serif;font-size:small;color:#000000">The <b>Information Literacy Competency (LIB) exam </b>is being offered at the Queensbury Branch Campus on Monday, Nov. 1st, at 2 p.m. in Bryan Hall, room 147.<br></div><div class="gmail_quote"><div dir="ltr"><div style="color:rgb(0,0,0)"><font face="verdana, sans-serif"><br></font></div><div style="color:rgb(0,0,0)"><font face="verdana, sans-serif">The exam is offered as an alternative way to meet the <b>LIB190 course requirement</b>. It is an online proctored exam. <br></font></div><div class="gmail_quote"><div dir="ltr"><div style="color:rgb(0,0,0)"><font face="verdana, sans-serif"><br></font></div><div style="color:rgb(0,0,0)"><font face="verdana, sans-serif">When you arrive for the exam you will need to be wearing a <b>facemask</b> and have your <b>picture ID</b>.<br><br><b>Pre-registration is required.</b> The registration form can be found in the Branch Campus “Dates & Registration Information” link on the exam web page.<br></font><ul><li><a href="https://www.plattsburgh.edu/academics/library/instruction-reference/proficiency-exam.html" target="_blank"><font face="verdana, sans-serif">Read more information about the exam and register.</font></a></li></ul><font face="verdana, sans-serif"><b>Eligibility to meet the requirement by passing the exam:</b><br></font><ul><li><font face="verdana, sans-serif">By passing the exam, you meet the Information Literacy General Education/Cardinal Core requirement, but do not receive the credit hour. </font></li><li><font face="verdana, sans-serif">Students who have a grade of E or W for the LIB course can meet the requirement by passing the exam, but the exam does not remove or replace the letter grade.</font></li><li><font face="verdana, sans-serif">Students can take the exam more than once, but only once in any academic year (Aug. – May).</font></li></ul></div><div style="color:rgb(0,0,0)"><font face="verdana, sans-serif"><b>If you have questions</b> about the exam, please contact <a href="mailto:tothmm@plattsburgh.edu" target="_blank">Michelle Toth</a>, associate librarian, in Feinberg Library.</font></div></div>
