The IPI Center is designed to bring together instructional technology support, faculty development, accessibility guidance, and online course and program support under a single, coordinated umbrella.

IPI was established to make it easier for faculty and departments to navigate the growing landscape of digital teaching tools, accessibility expectations, and online program and course design needs. By aligning services that already support teaching and learning, IPI will provide a clearer point of contact, more consistent guidance, and stronger coordination across instructional initiatives.

The creation of the Center for Instructional and Program Innovation also reflects the institution’s commitment to inclusive and accessible learning environments, particularly as we work toward meeting federal ADA Title II requirements for electronic instructional materials.

Most importantly, IPI exists to support faculty work—whether that involves improving course accessibility, experimenting with new pedagogical approaches, navigating instructional technologies, or improving existing and developing new online and hybrid courses and programs.

For more information about IPI's services, please reach out to Dr. John Locke, Director, jlock004@plattsburgh.edu.
