<div dir="ltr"><div class="gmail_quote"><div dir="ltr"><div class="gmail_quote"><div dir="ltr"><div style="font-family:trebuchet ms,sans-serif;font-size:small;color:#000000"><span style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif">Greetings All!  </span><br></div><div style="font-family:trebuchet ms,sans-serif;font-size:small;color:#000000"><div style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif"><br></div><div style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif">EOP is gearing up for our <span>Summer</span> Academy and will welcome 85 EOP students to campus in July.  To be eligible for EOP, one must qualify as economically disadvantaged according to SUNY EOP Income guidelines, and priority is given to applicants from historically disadvantaged/underserved backgrounds.  Many of our students show up with minimal necessities.  We are reaching out to our Plattsburgh family to see if anyone may be able to contribute any of the following items: </div><div style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif"><ol><li style="margin-left:15px">Bottled water (as we cannot purchase with state funds);</li><li style="margin-left:15px">Twin XL sheets/blankets/pillows/pillowcases;</li><li style="margin-left:15px">Boxed/portable fans;</li><li style="margin-left:15px">laundry detergent, fabric softener, and dryer sheets;</li><li style="margin-left:15px">body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and shower caps;</li><li style="margin-left:15px">toothbrush, toothpaste;</li><li style="margin-left:15px">Ice pops (it gets hot here in the <span>summer</span>!);</li><li style="margin-left:15px">Pads/Tampons;</li><li style="margin-left:15px">Deodorant;</li><li style="margin-left:15px">Bug Spray/Sunscreen;</li><li style="margin-left:15px">Bath Towels/Washcloths;</li><li style="margin-left:15px">Duffel Bags/Luggage (could be gently used!)</li><li style="margin-left:15px">Portable air conditioners (to be used in public spaces and managed by professional staff) </li></ol><div>Any assistance and/or <span>contributions</span> are greatly appreciated!<br></div><div><br></div></div><div style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif">We are also in need of van drivers for our weekend trips and weeknight shopping trips. We would greatly appreciate it if you would volunteer your time shuttling students during the weekdays and weekends! Anyone interested should email Cassie at <a href="mailto:cchri001@plattsburgh.edu" target="_blank">cchri001@plattsburgh.edu</a> to be added to a list and sent information on how to become van-certified/LENS-cleared. </div><div style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif"><br></div><div style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif">If you can think of any other way to assist or contribute to welcoming our EOP students to campus this <span>summer</span>, please do not hesitate to let us know! We look forward to working with many of you in July and the upcoming academic year to support our newest EOP students.  </div><div style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif"><br></div><div style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif">Best,<br></div><div style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif">The EOP Team</div><div style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif"><br></div></div></div>
