The Society also produced a magazine, <i>Umbra</i>,<i> </i>which ran for five numbers. The 2022-2023 Distinguished Fulbright Lecture examines the various interactions and collaborations that Umbra poets had with countercultural poets and black radical political organizations in order to show how Umbra has been at the center of avant-garde poetry and revolutionary politics that also find echoes beyond U.S. borders.
