of Communication Studies, Gender and Womens' Studies, and Psychology
invite you to a showing of "15 Minutes of Shame," a documentary about
public shaming in the Internet era. The film explores public shaming and
cyber-bullying through the stories of four individuals who have been
the victims of massive online shaming. Through the voices of bullies,
victims, bystanders, psychologists, politicians, experts, and the media
the film explores this important facet of modern life. <br></span></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:times new roman,serif"><span><br></span></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:times new roman,serif"><span>The movie and discussion will take place in Yokum 206, starting at 6pm on Tuesday, March 28. <br></span></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:times new roman,serif"><span><br></span></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:times new roman,serif"><span>The post-film discussion will feature a panel of SUNY Plattsburgh
faculty including Prof. Bridget Haina and Dr. Benjamin Medeiros,
Department of Communication Studies,Dr Connie Oxford, Department of
Gender and Womens' Studies, and Dr. Suzannah Chatlos, Department of
Psychology, moderated by Dr. Daniel Lake, Director of the Institute for
Ethics in Public Life.</span>
